Welcome to Divine Place, because sometimes a fresh start requires a little divine intervention.
Murder and Mahjong
When Eloise Worthington drops dead and awakens in the afterlife, she knows she doesn’t belong—mainly because she’s surrounded by gods, witches, vampires, werewolves, and other supernatural species. She soon learns this supernatural retirement village isn’t the last stop on the Afterlife Express—and villagers can be blinked out of existence. When that happens to Zeus, Eloise finds herself the prime suspect. Never one to shy away from a challenge (although her idea of one usually involves tequila and a cartwheel), she sets out to clear her name and figure out where she truly belongs.
Homicide and Hot Tubs
Eloise is living her best afterlife. As the lone human among gods, witches, and other immortals, she’s happy to enjoy the village amenities, ogle the demigods, and spend eternity with her cat, Mischief. When a villager turns up facedown in a hot tub, Eloise reluctantly trades the spa for her marshal badge. Unfortunately, everyone has a reason to want the victim obliterated—and everyone wants credit for the deed. With more confessions than clues, Eloise needs help from the one demigod she’d rather avoid. Can she identify the real killer before she’s finally out of her depth?
Graves and Golf Carts
Life has handed Eloise lemons, so she does what she’s does best—makes a margarita. When a villager is discovered dead on the Gods Complex golf course, Eloise wipes off her tanning oil, sets her marshal hat at a jaunty angle, and gets to work, determined to solve the crime and earn enough brownie points to make it through the pearly gates. When the killer proves to be one step ahead, Eloise realizes she’ll need to up her game to outwit a supernatural foe. Has the killer met their match, or will Eloise find herself on the fairway to Hell?
