Otherskin invites players to embark on a gripping solo mission to Planet Vandermire, the ancestral home of the long-extinct Magna species. This mysterious world is believed to be the origin of the Corruption, a devastating force threatening all life across the universe. As Alex, the thirteenth volunteer among the Space Crusaders, you are equipped with a cutting-edge AI-powered suit designed to help you survive the hostile environment as you gather crucial data. Each expedition is a race against time, with the hope that repeated attempts will eventually reveal a way to contain or reverse the Corruption’s spread. The gameplay centers on dynamic combat and exploration, blending ranged weaponry with agile melee moves that can be switched between fluidly. A key feature is the ability to absorb alien “morphs” from defeated enemies, granting new abilities and powers that reshape your combat style and strategic options. Your suit itself can be upgraded to enhance weapon effectiveness, life support, and mobility, with an intelligent AI companion offering guidance throughout the journey. Vandermire’s diverse biomes provide a rich and dangerous backdrop to explore, full of hidden secrets and challenges that deepen the story and expand your understanding of the Corruption’s origins. Otherskin combines intense action, strategic progression, and atmospheric world-building to deliver a unique sci-fi adventure.
