The Hand of Merlin is a turn-based rogue-lite RPG that blends the rich mythology of Arthurian legend with the eerie atmosphere of cosmic horror. Players lead a small company of up to three mortal heroes on a perilous journey from the mystical lands of Albion to Jerusalem, traversing a medieval world teetering on the edge of apocalypse. Along the way, they will explore diverse regions inspired by historical and legendary settings such as Marca Hispanica and Al-Andalus, encountering a variety of interactive scenarios that evolve with each playthrough. The story, penned by acclaimed writers Jonas and Verena Kyratzes, draws from the Matter of France and medieval history, weaving a narrative that is both familiar and intriguingly twisted by otherworldly threats. Gameplay centers on tactical, squad-based combat where players must carefully coordinate their heroes’ unique skills and abilities to overcome both human and demonic adversaries.
