1 file — 1.5 GBSaltsea Chronicles is a story-driven adventure set in a richly imagined post-flood world, where players take on the role of Captain Maja’s diverse crew as they navigate a series of mysterious island communities in search of their missing captain. This flooded archipelago, known as Saltsea, is built atop the ruins of a forgotten past, blending remnants of old technology with new, unexpected cultures. As you explore these beautifully rendered islands—each with its own unique atmosphere and secrets—you’ll uncover a deep conspiracy that challenges what you thought you knew about the world and your crew’s place within it. The game’s distinctive art style, inspired by risograph print techniques, complements its storybook aesthetic, while an original soundtrack by Eli Rainsberry enriches the immersive experience. Gameplay in Saltsea Chronicles centers around guiding your crew through a branching narrative filled with meaningful choices and complex relationships. Each chapter lets you decide which island to visit and which crew members to send on expeditions, influencing the story’s direction and the interpersonal dynamics aboard your ship. Conversations can range from brief observations to in-depth discussions, offering different perspectives on the world’s mysteries and the growing tensions among your companions. A unique card game called Spoils adds another layer of interaction, with local variations reflecting the diverse island cultures. Throughout your journey, you’ll track clues and relationship quests known as Issues, shaping the outcomes of both the investigation and the crew’s evolving bonds. Multiple playthroughs reveal new characters, locations, and story paths, making Saltsea Chronicles a thoughtfully crafted exploration of resilience, community, and the challenges of forging connection after catastrophe.
