In *Somnus*, you step into the shoes of Thomas, a night guard assigned to a seemingly straightforward job: ensure everything is in order during your shift. However, what begins as a routine check quickly transforms into a tense and unsettling experience as you navigate the cold, narrow tunnels of a mysterious cave. The oppressive atmosphere, eerie sounds, and constant feeling of being watched create a deeply immersive setting where every shadow could hold a secret. As Thomas ventures deeper into the darkness, the environment itself becomes a character, with flickering lantern light revealing detailed cave textures and thick shadows that heighten the psychological tension. Gameplay revolves around exploration and investigation as you descend into the labyrinthine passages hour by hour, uncovering clues and solving puzzles that gradually unravel the cave’s hidden mysteries. Between inspections, you must document your observations, though maintaining focus becomes increasingly difficult as strange events and unsettling sensations escalate. The game masterfully blends atmospheric graphics with realistic sound design—every footstep echo and distant rustle amplifies the sense of dread. Your decisions and discoveries influence how the story unfolds, challenging your perception of what is real and what lurks in the darkness. *Somnus* offers a haunting journey into a shadowy world where peace depends solely on your vigilance, and the unknown waits just beyond the next corner.
