Croc: Legend of the Gobbos invites players into a charming and colorful platforming adventure starring Croc, a lovable crocodile on a mission to rescue his adopted family, the Gobbos, from the clutches of the evil sorcerer Baron Dante and his mischievous minions. Set across five diverse worlds—ranging from volcanic landscapes and icy glaciers to underwater caves—players guide Croc through 45 levels filled with a variety of enemies and challenging bosses. The gameplay centers on classic platforming mechanics such as running, jumping, climbing, swimming, and Croc’s signature tail spin, offering a mix of exploration and action that captures the spirit of 1990s platformers while appealing to both nostalgic fans and newcomers. This remastered edition preserves the core experience of the original game while introducing modern enhancements like high-definition graphics, refined controls, and an updated camera system, along with retro video modes that evoke the look and feel of the era when Croc first debuted. Beyond the main adventure, players can explore the Crocipedia, a meticulously curated digital museum created with involvement from the original developers. It features rare concept art, animation tests, design documents, and behind-the-scenes interviews that provide deeper insight into the game’s creative process and history. Together, these elements make Croc: Legend of the Gobbos a vibrant tribute to a beloved platforming classic, offering both a nostalgic journey and a fresh experience for a new generation of players.
