Along the way, Psaro is joined by Rose, a compassionate elf who aids him in seeking out powerful monsters across the ever-shifting landscapes of Nadiria. Central to the journey is the synthesis system, which allows players to combine two monsters into a new, more formidable creature, gradually building a unique and personalized team. Gameplay focuses on exploration, monster recruitment, and strategic battles, with over 500 monsters available to capture and train, including new additions and fan favorites from the DRAGON QUEST series. Monsters can sometimes join Psaro voluntarily after battles, adding an element of surprise and variety to team-building. The game features dynamic seasonal cycles that influence which monsters appear and open access to hidden areas, keeping each visit fresh and engaging. In addition to the core adventure, the Steam version includes all DLC content from the console release, such as new dungeons and challenges.
