The Legacy is a cooperative survival horror game set in the eerie and atmospheric region of Western Ukraine, centered around the abandoned city of Svetlograd and its surrounding Carpathian Mountains. The story unfolds from a dark family legacy dating back to 1990, when a curse was cast upon the protagonist’s hometown due to an ancient ritual that was never fulfilled. As adults, four siblings return to Svetlograd determined to break the curse and free the city from the sinister forces that have brought death and destruction. Each character brings unique skills and abilities, encouraging teamwork and strategic cooperation as players navigate a mysterious world filled with supernatural threats and local legends. Gameplay in The Legacy revolves around managing detailed survival systems that include hunger, thirst, temperature, stamina, and health conditions like blood loss and infection. Players must gather resources, craft tools, build shelters, and prepare food to endure the harsh autumn climate. The game’s open world is vast and dynamic, featuring randomized loot, enemies, and environmental elements to keep each playthrough fresh and unpredictable. Players can hunt animals, fish, and explore secret military bunkers while facing a variety of mythical creatures that require both traditional weapons and mystical rituals to defeat. With a strong emphasis on crafting potions, performing rituals, and uncovering local folklore, The Legacy blends survival mechanics with a rich narrative and cooperative multiplayer support, making it a deep and immersive experience for fans of atmospheric horror and challenging teamwork.
