South of Midnight (v1.3 & DLC) [TorrentX]

South of Midnight is a captivating third-person action-adventure game set in the atmospheric American Deep South, created by the team behind Contrast and We Happy Few. Players take on the role of Hazel, a young woman who, after a devastating hurricane hits her hometown of Prospero, discovers she has become a Weaver—an individual with the power to mend broken bonds and spirits. As Hazel, you will journey through a haunting Southern Gothic world where folklore and memory intertwine, facing mythical creatures known as Haints while unraveling the complex history of her family and community. The narrative weaves themes of identity, legacy, and the weight of the past into a modern folktale that explores both personal and cultural struggles. Gameplay centers on Hazel’s newfound weaving magic, which allows her to confront and restore tormented creatures while piecing together the fractured Grand Tapestry that binds her world. Players will explore a richly detailed and decaying county, moving through diverse locations that reflect the South’s lush yet eerie beauty. The game combines immersive storytelling with a striking visual style and an evocative musical score inspired by the region’s deep and layered history. Through its blend of action, exploration, and narrative depth, South of Midnight offers a unique experience that captures the dark mystique and emotional resonance of Southern folklore.
