Mobile Police Patlabor Reboot (2016) (1080p BluRay x265 10bit EAC3 5.1 SAMPA) [QxR] [TorrentX]

IMDb (7.2/10) Genres Animation, Short, Comedy Director Yasuhiro Yoshiura Writers Masami Yûki, Kazunori Itô, Mamoru Oshii Actors Megumi Hayashibara, Kôichi Yamadera Plot Summary In the future, advanced robotics has created heavy robots ("labors") for use in a variety of functions: construction, fire-fighting, military, and more. However, though the robots are only machines, their operators are also only human—and humans sometimes turn to crime. Since a heavy labor unit can be a dangerous weapon, the police of the future are set to fight fire with fire, using advanced patrol labor units, "patlabors." This is the story of the Second Special Vehicles Division, a motley crew of patlabor policemen and women doing their best to fight crime and live a normal life. Note from Encoder Mobile Police Patlabor Reboot (2016) — original title 機動警察パトレイバー REBOOT (Kidō Keisatsu Patoreibā Reboot). This short but punchy 2016 reboot is essentially a modern-day pulse check on Patlabor—eight minutes of slick animation that reintroduces the world, the Labors, and the tone to a contemporary audience. It’s less about story and more about vibe: a concise showcase of how Patlabor looks and feels when filtered through modern production techniques. Audio is Japanese Dolby Digital Plus 5.1. A fun bit of trivia: this reboot was produced as a promotional companion to The Next Generation: Patlabor live-action project, and its sole purpose was to reassure long-time fans that—even in a new era—the soul of Patlabor was still very much intact. Short, confident, and unmistakably on-brand. Media Information Code:
